Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.

 

Pastor TJ FreemanAs the primary teaching pastor of WBC since 2012, TJ has a passion for carefully unpacking the truths of Scripture. Prior to his arrival at Wellsboro Bible Church, TJ served as a church planter, Biblical Counselor, and discipleship pastor; as well as a former history teacher. He enjoys the outdoors and is an avid photographer. TJ and his wife Katie have two daughters, Charlotte and Charity, and a a son, Hudson.

Pastor Mike White
In January of 2015, Mike White joined Wellsboro Bible Church as Associate Pastor where he oversees connect groups, core classes, and truth bible study. While attending the Master’s Seminary, Mike worked as an arborist and served in college ministry where he met his wife, Rachel. They have two children, Lucy and Cliff. Mike enjoys reading and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Elder Andy Sayre
Andy Sayre has served in church leadership, both as a deacon and elder, at WBC since 1983. Andy and his wife Janet have seven grown children and nine grandchildren. He enjoys early morning walks in God’s creation and spending quality time with his family.
Elder Jeff WalshJeff Walsh become an Elder in February of 2015. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Lorrie, and has three grown children. They are also doting grandparents to three grandchildren. He works as a geologist for a local consulting firm and enjoys reformed theology and watching professional bull riding!
Elder Billy StokesBilly Stokes has served as a deacon at WBC since 2009 and became an elder in 2015. He also works fervently with church’s teen group, Fusion. Billy loves Ultimate Frisbee, hiking, kayaking, biking and all other outdoor activities. His favorite food is sushi.
Deacon Ross Davis
Ross Davis has served as a deacon at WBC since 2010. Ross and his wife Diana have two grown daughters and three grandchildren. The Davis’s love traveling the country and abroad.
Deacon Merlin Benner
Merlin Benner has served as a deacon at WBC since 2002. Merlin and his wife Melissa have five children; Ben, Angelica, Jonas, Melody, and Harmony. He enjoys hunting and photography. Merlin has a degree in Wildlife Biology. Through his work he has handled around 2000 bats.
Deacon Leonard Callahan
Leonard Callahan has served as a deacon at WBC since 2001. Leonard and his wife Theresa have two grown children that attend WBC; Veronica and Nick. Leonard enjoys spending time with his family and serving others. Interesting fact; Leonard began attending WBC after his daughter invited the family to Sunday School in order to meet her requirements for Awana.
Deacon Bob Becker
Bob Becker has served as a deacon at WBC since 2014. Bob and his wife Vicki have four grown children and nine grand children. Bob enjoys gardening, cooking and reading biographies and non-fiction. He has a fascination with recipes and has even written his own cook book.
