Missional Communities

Jesus’ last words on earth were to “Go and make disciples.” The purpose of missional communities is for disciples to make disciples in biblical community.

Missional communities are our way to pursue God together through fellowship, studying scripture, prayer, and service. At WBC we engage in intentional community with one another in 3 ways: Connect Groups, Formation groups, and women’s ministry.

Connect Groups

Connect groups, which consist of 12-20 people, meet weekly for 8-10 weeks to promote Gospel growth in a specific geography. Each meeting involves fellowship, prayer, and Bible study. One of those meetings includes a community service project to help create relationships within the community in order to share the love of Jesus.

Connect groups meet on various nights of the week for about 2 hours.
Formation Groups

Formation groups consist of 2-4 people who meet bi-weekly over the course of 8-12 months to provide a space for gender-specific accountability. Each member is expected to mutually commit to discipleship by reading books for theological growth, Scripture memorization, and speaking into each other’s lives.

There are several group plans to choose from that target specific areas of spiritual growth and conformity to Christ.
Women’s Ministry

Wellsboro Bible Church women’s ministry seeks to connect women with Christ and His Church.

Women’s ministry includes Monday Bible studies as well as outreach and service throughout the week.
