Missional Communities

Jesus’ last words on earth were to “Go and make disciples.” The purpose of missional communities is for disciples to make disciples in biblical community.

Missional communities are our way to pursue God together through fellowship, studying scripture, prayer, and service. At WBC we engage in intentional community with one another in 3 ways: Small Groups, Formation groups, and women’s ministry.

Small Groups

Small groups, which consist of 6-12 people, meet weekly for 9 weeks to promote Gospel growth in a specific geography. Each meeting involves fellowship, prayer, and Bible study. One of those meetings may include a community service project to help create relationships within the community in order to share the love of Jesus.

Small groups meet on various nights of the week for about 2 hours.

Formation Groups

Formation groups consist of 2-4 people who meet bi-weekly over the course of 8-12 months to provide a space for gender-specific accountability. Each member is expected to mutually commit to discipleship by reading books for theological growth, Scripture memorization, and speaking into each other’s lives.

There are several group plans to choose from that target specific areas of spiritual growth and conformity to Christ.
