Homeschool Enrichment Ministry (HEM)

Psalm 139:5 - “You hem me in, behind and before, and lay your hand upon me.”

To provide a Kingdom Education, there needs to be a cohesive partnership between the church, the home, and the school.  Kingdom education is defined, from scripture, by Glen Schultz as

“a life-long, Bible-based, Christ-centered process of leading a child to Christ, building a child up  in Christ,
and equipping a child to serve Christ!”

Christ Church has partnered with Springbrook Christian Academy’s hybrid homeschool program to see students transformed by the truth of God’s Word. Together, our goal is to holistically disciple children in a biblical environment so that they may know and be known by God.  We recognize that a solid foundation is built when the same truths and values are taught in the home, church, and school, and we will walk with each student on their faith journey, recognizing that a relationship with Christ is the most important gift of education.

Who is this HEM program for?

Christ Church’s Homeschool Enrichment Ministry (HEM) program is for Homeschool families looking for enrichment opportunities.  Like Springbrook, this program is a covenantal model where at least one parent is a believer in Jesus Christ and must regularly attend, and be actively involved in, an evangelical, Bible-believing church.  The other parent must be supportive of Christian education.  Both parents must agree to support the teaching of beliefs from Christ Church’s statement of faith.

Our HEM days will be held on Mondays and Fridays and will provide:

  • Group enrichment with an experienced facilitator and volunteers in a structured group setting

  • Time for provided assignments from T, W, and Th

  • A biblical worldview

  • Flexibility to meet each child’s unique learning styles or interests

  • Service opportunities

  • Field trips

  • Opportunities for cross-class interactions

In order to participate, you will need to apply and be interviewed to ensure this program is a good fit for your family.
